Makes enough for 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Cordial: Combine all the ingredients into a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Decant into an sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for about four weeks.
To make Cocktail Base: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into a large bottle, leave to sit for an hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, making it perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml of your batch mix into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute to cool it down. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, garnish with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the top.
